Bong Central High School Library Project
The Bong Central High School Library improvement project is in progress. The purpose of the school library is to provide students with access to books, and multi-purpose space for learning through media and electronic devices. This access is a primary factor for increasing literacy which leads to raising student test scores in all aspects of their studies. Access to books not only fosters an early love of learning, it also has a positive effect on reading achievement that can offset the impact of poverty.
Phase I of the library project was completed in May 2015 which included remolding the space and painting, secured desks, tables, bench-chairs, and book shelves.
Phase II is being planned which will focus on the functionality of the center and services (Reading/English tutorial and literacy programs), and transforming the library into a media center. Provide multi-purpose space for learning, home work -assistance, projects-workshops, research, electronic devices once applicable per security issues are resolved. Improve the space to be functional and better support students, teachers
Your generous donations help the Bong Education Center eradicate poverty and illiteracy by providing this library to the students.
